John Sheldon has been a sales
executive for over 30 yrs. He has experience selling various products and
services to all levels of management. He has had extensive sales training
from companies such as Philips, Sony and Olympus. John is an independent
sales contractor with the trucking industry.
John also volunteers with Youth Outdoors, a joint venture between the
Cleveland Metro Parks, Ohio State University, 4-H and the City of Cleveland.
George Sagaris
First Vice President/Fundraising Committee
George Sagaris is the owner of Top Dawg delivery and Logistics Company located in Cleveland, Ohio. Top Dawg has grown from a small basement office with one account, one driver and one computer to one of the most prestigious delivery companies in Northeast Ohio, serving customers locally and nationally. His companied opened in April of 1999 with one goal: provide quality service at affordable prices. George equates his rapid success to the loyalty of our customers, who recognize the value of honesty, integrity and our "can-do" mentality. George has a long standing with the Lupus Foundation of America Greater Ohio Chapter and has served as past President.
Carlin Culbertson

Carlin Culbertson is a manager at a regional public accounting firm. Carlin is an active certified public accountant who graduated from the University of Akron in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Minor in Entrepreneurship. He works with a wide variety of clients in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, mining, and distribution.

Jeannine Valenti assists in Marketing for Harmony Homes. Harmony Homes Realty has over 30 years of experience serving the Greater Cuyahoga County area.
Dr. Stanley Ballou
Chairman of the Medical
Advisory Board / Trustee
Dr. Stanley Ballou is the Director of Rheumatology at Metrohealth Medical Center, Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and Director of the MetroHealth Lupus Clinic, the only such clinic in Cleveland, serving over 250 patients with SLE. He serves as an advisor to the chapter on medical issues, local and regional research activities, and access to professional care.

Mark W. Wester

Mark Wester is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Waxman Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of specialty plumbing and floor and surface protection products to retailers and industrial customers. Mr. Wester is an inactive certified public accountant, graduating from John Carroll University in 1976.
Diana Fleming, MSN, RN

Diana Fleming is a faculty member at Kent State University College of Nursing and teaches the SLE lecture content. She also works part-time at Akron General Medical Center.See More
Mrs. Fleming has seen the effects of lupus throughout her family. Her maternal grandmother and mother both suffered the effects of lupus. Currently, her sister is battling lupus. Her goal is to increase the public's and health care professionals' awareness and understanding of the impact of lupus.

Andrew Post
Mr. Post is an associate with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan, & Arnoff, LLP in Columbus, Ohio Corporate & Securities Practice Group. He focuses his practice on corporate and transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, franchising, licensing, entity selection and governance. Mr. Post is also experienced in helping businesses fund and implement their growth strategies through private placements and public offerings of debt and equity securities and advising clients on various securities issues and regulations.
Elaine M. Roscoe

Elaine Roscoe Elaine Roscoe battled with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis for years. In 1991, Ms. Roscoe began her efforts in helping The Lupus Foundation of America. Greater Ohio Chapter, Inc., reach their mission. Ms. Roscoe was the Office Manger of Eaton Corporation, Law Department for sixteen years until her disease forced her to go on disability. Ms. Roscoe was a vibrant woman who stayed active with the lupus community until her passing in January of 2012.
Suzanne Tierney
CEO/President
Suzanne Tierney through her own diversity with living with chronic illnesses has the passion and commitment to invest in those whose lives have been affected by lupus. She is driven to surpass all the challenges and demands this chapter meets in its efforts to fulfill its mission. Her perseverance in helping lupus patients will not falter until a cause or cure is found.
